History Of Brass Founders
Our Story.
Founded in 1919 by the Buxton family and bought by Europa Engineering in 2005, Brass Founders Sheffield, combined the expertise and assets of J Youle & Co, Rotherham and J T Barker and Sons, Leeds to enhance our product range and skills to produce custom, quality castings.

Brass Founders Is Born
Brass Founders Sheffield Ltd first opened its doors for business in November 1919 in the heart of Sheffield
2005
Acquired by Europa Engineering Group
Owned and managed by the Buxton Family, handed down through the generations until a friendly acquisition in 2005 by the Europa Engineering Group.
Our name and heritage continues to be appreciated with one of our former sites now housing a student accommodation development aptly named Brass Founders. This can be found on Scotland Street, Sheffield.
